A graham cracker crust is an extremely simple crust, probably the easiest pie crust out there, other than buying a pre-made one at the store. Plus, it can be used for a variety of desserts, the most common being the cheesecake. Many people, however, prefer a graham cracker crust to a standard flaky pie crust when making many of their normal pies.

A common variation of the graham cracker pie crust is replacing the crackers with an Oreo-style cookie and removing the addition of the sugar. This style of pie and cheesecake crust is very popular and definitely worth trying out.

Ingredients

  • 12 whole graham crackers
  • 6 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 c. sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Crush the graham crackers into very small crumbs (I use a large ziploc bag and a rolling pin).
  3. Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar and melted butter into a bowl and stir until well combined.
  4. Place crumbs into pan and press with your fingers into place.
  5. Place in preheated oven and bake around 10 minutes, or until crust is around a shade darker.
  6. Allow graham cracker crust to cool completely before adding any filling.
