Sherry Trifle Recipe
This sherry trifle recipe is very simple and very delicious! It can easily be made for one person or a whole party.
Ingredients
- 1 pre-made sponge cake, cut into 1 in. cubes
- 2 boxes instant custard mix, prepared or about 4 c. prepared custard
- 2 (1 lb) bags frozen fruit or fresh fruit
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. whipped cream
- 1/3 c. sherry, juice or water
Directions
- Prepare custard according to directions and let cool.
- Mix the fruit with the sherry.
- Line the bottom of a trifle bowl with the sponge cake cubes.
- Layer half of the fruit on top of the sponge cake.
- Create a layer using half of the custard.
- Repeat the layering.
- Top with whipped cream and garnish with fresh fruit.
- Chill well before serving.
